whatwasthatradio One day Lee Downer realised he had a go-to riff when trying out guitars that he hadn’t worked into a song yet. Coupled with relatable lyrics about people you come across that in time you realize are doing more damage to your happiness than good. This is a stand-and-deliver song with roaring vocals, thick distorted guitars, and a rampant drummer.

Nay, this band is as tight as the rhino’s ass Ace Ventura was born out of. Favorite track: I Don't Like You.

I DON’T LIKE YOU (Lyrics) I just wanna be somewhere you're not, But you'll find me anyway Can't you see there's nothing left to say, But you'll call me everyday I have nothing left to give to you, Just like a leech you've bled me blue The life you choose to live is such a lie, But you'll never realize Can you hear that I'm not listening Do you see that I don't care? I don't like you and your friends Can't you get the point just stay away, The shit you say just rots my brain If I have to tell you one more time, I'll spill my guts on all your lies Can't you hear that I'm not listening Do you see that I don't fucking care? I don't like you and your friends

Church 03:08
They say I'll drag you down and pull you under But you'll never hear them say my name They are never gonna save your soul I’ll be here when the church gets old I am the one looking over your shoulder Can you hear me calling out your name? Your gods are dead and I'm the devil leading the way Let's watch your church burn down in flames You pray to them for absolution But your fates unknown until the day They're never gonna make you whole I'll be here when you're all alone I am the one looking over your shoulder Can you hear me calling out your name? Your gods are dead and I'm the devil leading the way So watch your church burn down in flames They’re never gonna save your soul They’re never gonna make you whole I’ll be here when the church gets old I’ll be here when you’re all alone I am the one looking over your shoulder Can you hear me calling out your name? Your gods are dead and I'm the devil leading the way Now watch your church burn down in flames

about

LOWLIVES Los Angeles, California

A scabrous but uplifting snapshot of a new band hitting their stride at full pelt, it’s an invigorating alternative to the modern era’s endless tsunami of cookie cutter, cut ‘n’ paste rock and metal. Most of all, it’s loud, gnarly, in-your-face and beautifully, brutally imperfect. As their EP’s furious title track insists, LOWLIVES fully intend to burn forever…
